In partnership with Just Walk, join us for a Holiday Pet Portrait event in your pup’s favorite place! Options for portraits include either dog or family style. Plan to dress up in your favorite costume! We will have some costume options available for your pet as well as seasonally cheery backgrounds and decorations.
Portraits will take place between the Chapel and the Sousa family plot. Register for tickets here!
The cemetery will remain open to the public and dog walkers (on leash ONLY) There will be a Holiday Market held the same day! Please stick around!

The K9 Corps at Historic Congressional Cemetery is private dog-walking program, bringing life, community, and volunteerism to this extraordinary burial ground. A portion of the sitting fee will benefit Historic Congressional Cemetery.

When will the event take place?
The pet portrait will take place Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 11am-4pm. Tickets are sold in timed slots. Please arrive on time! The event takes places concurrently with the HCC Holiday Market. Due to the Holiday Market, dogs must be on leash until they arrive at the photography area. Thank you!
Do I have to be a member to go?
No, this event is open to the public and their well socialized dogs.
How will this work?
Sign up for an available time slot. The pop up studio will be outdoors. Photos will posted to the Just Walk Photos website 48 hours after the event. From there, participants will be able to view and download their pictures. A printout with this information will also be handed out at the event.
What kind of camera will be used?
A Canon 2000D Rebel T7.
